The journey to a Modern Workplace

Thanks to XPhone, the City of Bonn was able to offer hybrid working to nearly 2,000 employees:

"With the softphone, we’ve established a complete one-number concept. Regardless of where you work, everyone remains reachable on their office extension, and all outgoing calls are made exclusively from this number."

To provide as many employees as possible with access to the softphone, the necessary infrastructure was expanded. These investments clearly reflect the City of Bonn’s commitment to a much more flexible working environment. "As of today, we have 10,000 phones," says Siebert. "But in the future, we’ll only need a fraction of them."

This creates the ideal conditions for the City of Bonn’s next major project: the "Shared Desktop" workplace model.
