Limitless communication

"With XPhone Connect we've established a whole new culture of communication."

The project

When 1,250 employees are spread across 10 locations, internal communication becomes a challenge. Especially when a growing number of colleagues regularly work from their home office.

The district administration of Steinfurt has found a solution for this challenge: modern Unified Communications software. With XPhone Connect, all employees can exchange information easily and flexibly across departments and locations.

All contacts are available in the Connect client via free text search. Calls can be started with a mouse click. Conferences can be set up just as quickly via the Outlook plug-in – including screen sharing and group chat.

Thanks to XPhone Connect, employees working from their home office are also optimally integrated into communication: Using the AnyDevice function, colleagues can set up conferences or forward calls using their private landline or mobile phone. The One-Number function ensures that only the office number is displayed for outgoing calls.

The district administration of Steinfurt sees itself clearly confirmed in its decision for an independent UC solution. "Of course, we could have taken the UC software that came with our telephone system," explains network and security administrator Nils Steinigeweg. "But on the one hand, the features range is considerably smaller. On the other hand, in terms of investment security and sustainability, only a manufacturer-independent solution came under consideration for us."
