Vulkaneifel has its head office in Daun, and 13 other branches in the region's
various municipalities. With 220 employees, the bank is a major employer in the region.
After having been in use for 20 years, the Kreissparkasse's network and telephone systems were outdated, and both needed upgrading. At the end of the upgrade, each branch had its own telephone system and numbers.
In order to optimise the co-operation between the branches, the new
system should have a company-wide presence management, intelligent voicemail
system, CTI and fax functions, automatic call distribution and a central
exchange workstation. The communication was also to be integrated in Notes.
