Stadt Buchs: More efficient communications with XPhone

The project
The telephone system
of Stadt Buchs had been in use for over 13 years – which meant it was
not only outdated, but above all could no longer be maintained. Reason enough
for the council to completely upgrade the technology.
The aim was to find a
solution that included all the potential offered by a modern communications
system. The choice was made for OpenScape Business X8 in combination with the Unified
Communications solution XPhone.
To this day, work is made
noticeably easier above all by the presence management and integration of
contact details. In the past, telephone and address details were laboriously
maintained in Excel lists. Today, every member of staff has access to a
standardised database that is always up-to-date.
