The Fraunhofer Institute for Factory Operation and Automation IFF in Magdeburg develops and realises technical and organisational solutions for products, production and logistics systems and services. An environment that is so technologically dynamic requires an ICT infrastructure that is stable and yet highly flexible – and the XPhone UC solutions are perfect for this.
When the Institute chose the XPhone solution about eight years ago, it was due above all to the clean integration in the groupware system Lotus Notes combined with the system's ability to support the hybrid infrastructure that was then still in use with IP-based and classic ISDN-based TC systems. Today, the Institute only uses Cisco UC Manager, and has already purchased a number of upgrades.
