XPhone Connect, the latest Unified Communications solution from C4B Com For Business AG is now available in stores. With Connect the communications specialist has completely reinvented its well-known UC platform XPhone. The focus of the new solution is on intuitive usability, seamless integration into customer applications such as CRM and ERP systems as well as the best possible integration of mobile employees.

XPhone Connect Devices

"In the past months and years we have invested a great deal of work, time and ideas and put our heart and soul into the development of XPhone Connect", says C4B CEO Michael Schreier. "That makes us all the more pleased to launch Connect now."

With its latest communications solution C4B has completely reinvented its well-known UC platform XPhone. In addition to the development of many new features such as AnyDevice, Mobile Apps for iOS and Android as well as the Business Intelligence tool Analytics, the UC specialist has also completely redesigned the client. All channels, contacts and the entire communication history are bundled in the client.

Communication is consistently orientated to the contact: "The user only has to decide with whom he wants to communicate," explains Schreier. "He can adjust how he wants to communicate – whether by phone, chat or screen-sharing – at any time and combine as desired." To this end the user can seamlessly change channels or expand them to include additional media and people as needed.

To make the necessary contacts available, central applications such as e.g. groupware, ERP and CRM systems can easily be linked to the Connect Server via drag and drop. All company contacts are thus available via free-text search in both the client and the Mobile App. Customer communication can be made even simpler with the App-Link module, with which key information from business applications – e.g. customer ID or partner status – can be displayed directly in the client.

The information to be displayed is defined on the server side: in the so-called Dashboard Designer data fields from any desired application such as e.g. SAP or Salesforce can be flexibly arranged for this via drag and drop and expanded to include frequently used actions (e.g. "New sales opportunity", "Route planner", "Find contact on LinkedIn"). Dashboards for key applications such as Salesforce and Microsoft Dynamics are already predefined and can be used immediately.

In addition to the deep integration of business applications, C4B places a clear focus on the integration of mobile employees with XPhone Connect. Thanks to the new AnyDevice function, modern UC comfort features can be used with whatever device you choose. Regardless of whether an employee is for example on the fixed-line phone in his home office or at work, he can start a call directly from within an application and if necessary forward it or set up a conference call. "Many businesses offer their employees the option of home office, but fail to provide the right tools to work from home efficiently," says Schreier. "With XPhone Connect, communication in the home office is as convenient as in the office."

In addition to many new features C4B has kept proven elements: "A clear USP of XPhone was and is its flexibility," explains Michael Schreier. "With XPhone Connect we also support virtually all major PBX manufacturers." The advantage for the customer: companies can use the widest range of different PBX systems with different version levels. Even heterogeneous PBX environments can thus be merged into a unified communications solution.

In recent months C4B has already presented XPhone Connect at the company's own "XPhone in Motion" roadshow and at various partner events. "The feedback that has reached us from both partners and customers has been consistently positive. In particular new features such as AnyDevice or Analytics have been met with great enthusiasm," reports Schreier. This response has also been reflected in pre-orders, he says. These are now being delivered.
