The Unified Communications manufacturer C4B Com For Business is expanding its partner programme. To strengthen sales and presales consultants, the communications specialist is introducing a new certification: the "XPhone Connect Solution Designer".

Growing complexity, larger project scopes and deeper integration into the IT landscape throw up new challenges: to meet the growing demands large customers in particular make on UC solutions, C4B Com For Business AG is expanding its partner programme. C4B partners can now be certified as an "XPhone Connect Solution Designer". The target group for the new certification are sales staff and presales consultants.
"A communications solution worthy of the name is much more than the sum of individual UC features like telephony and presence," explains C4B Marketing Director Marko Gatzemeier. "In our new training, participants learn how to show their customers the full potential of digital UC workflows." The focus of the one-day training is on database connectivity, interfaces and integration with the application landscape. As part of the certification, participants learn how to correctly map the technical requirements in complex ICT infrastructures.
"The better the communication system is interlinked with the key IT applications, the greater the daily benefit for the customer", Gatzemeier is convinced. C4B developed the AppLink Dashboard for this purpose: via the Dashboard, key information e.g. from an ERP or a CRM system can be displayed the moment a call comes in. At the same time, actions can be launched from the conversations where caller data is automatically transferred. "CTI is no longer a selling point today," says Gatzemeier. "The deep integration of communication in the IT landscape, on the other hand, offers real unique selling propositions – always provided, of course, that you can offer your customers expert advice."
Certification is included in the partner programme
Training as an XPhone Connect Solution Designer is now available from C4B distribution partners. From the beginning of next year, the new certification will be included in the C4B partner programme: for Select and Silver partners, certification is recommended. For Gold and Platinum Partners it will be mandatory from 1/1/2019 to maintain partner status.
"As a manufacturer, we rely 100% on the channel," explains Marketing Director Marko Gatzemeier. "Consistent know-how transfer is crucial for this strategy." To date, C4B has focused on technical training: more than 300 technicians have already completed certification as an XPhone Connect Professional or XPhone Connect Expert.
