In XPhone Connect Client, the softphone is selected as the active device. If an attempt is now made to make a call, an "audio device error" appears. How can this be fixed?
Open Windows Services and restart the Windows Audio service.
Open the Control Panel and open the Sound Settings. Open the properties of your device and uncheck Applications in exclusive mode have priority and click Restore Defaults. Then restart the XPhone Connect Client.
Make sure that the microphone is enabled in the Windows "Microphone - Privacy Settings" and that the XPhone Connect Client is listed with the desktop apps.
If the above steps do not help, you should also check whether an antivirus program is denying access to the microphone.
