How can I activate the XPhone Fax control characters in the setup?

How can I activate the control characters of the XPhone Fax printer during installation?

In principle, the following values are possible. Change the bold part of the values as required:

C4BMAILMERGE=0         No control character recognition
C4BMAILMERGE=1         Control character recognition via "@" symbols
C4BMAILMERGE=2         Control character recognition via "#" symbols

For XPhone UC 2011:

As of XPhone UC V4.4.x or higher, you can activate it via the setup.ini file of the "XPhone UC" setup in the "Setup32" or "Setup64" subdirectory.

Change the value for C4BMAILMERGE in the following line:

CmdLine=REINSTALL=ALL REINSTALLMODE=voums C4BVERCHECK=1 C4BMAILMERGE=0 /L*v %WINDIR%\C4BSetupLog_UCCommander.txt

For XPhone Connect:

You can also activate it here in the XPhone Connect Setup directory. In the installation image, navigate to

[...]\Clients\Setup32\FaxPrinterDriver\Desktop_x86 or
[...]\Clients\Setup64\FaxPrinterDriver\Desktop_x64, depending on which Bit version your OS is running.

Make the following changes to the respective "setup.ini" file (right click > Edit):
Change the line which, depending on the selected setup directory, may look slightly different as follows:

CmdLine=REINSTALL=ALL REINSTALLMODE=vaums /L*v %WINDIR%\C4BSetupLog_FaxPrinter64UM.txt

to

CmdLine=REINSTALL=ALL REINSTALLMODE=vaums C4BMAILMERGE=0 /L*v %WINDIR%\C4BSetupLog_FaxPrinter64UM.txt
