Turn Outlook into your communication centre: XPhone extends Outlook to include efficient Computer Telephony tools and comprehensive presence management – regardless of whether you use Office based on a local Exchange server or work with Office 365.
The Outlook plug-in allows you to schedule phone conferences with one click and manage them easily through your calendar. Presence status synchronises with the Outlook calender: As soon as an appointment is recorded in the calender, the employee's status automatically changes to "Unavailable" at the corresponding time.
1 Calender synchronisation is server side on the local Exchange server. In Outlook 365 & Hosted Exchange, client-side calender synchronisation is in charge of changing presence status and call forwarding (see notes on Outlook 365 & Hosted Exchange).
